(More customer reviews)The piece is very attractive and well designed.It appears flimsy during assembly but the weight of the clothes is cleverly held by two metal rods that seat in holes in the top of the wood sides.The first one came damaged which makes us think that it is easily damaged so you do not want to use it in a rough environment.It comes packed flat and requires assembly which makes it more flimsy since it does not have real furniture joints.The shipping was rather high for a flat packed piece of assembly furniture. This is IKEA and not Ethan Allen furniture.This is not an heirloom piece as the stain is on the surface and when it is damaged it will be difficult to repair.It is not penetration stained.When used carefully it looks very attractive and holds a nice amount of clothes.It is much better than the plastic hamper we were using.
